Dr. Meg Pezzino, DPT, SCS, MCMT

Dr. Meg Pezzino, PT, DPT is a passionate physical therapist with more than 16 years of experience helping people move with confidence, strength, and purpose. Her journey into physical therapy began as a two-sport high school athlete navigating a shoulder injury. After signing her Division I letter of intent to play softball at Manhattan College, another injury nearly ended her career before it began. Told she would “never throw again,” Meg found her way back through the dedication of a driven physical therapist—an experience that inspired her own calling to help others overcome obstacles and continue doing what they love.

Meg began her career in Connecticut, where she spent five years treating patients across inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics. She later relocated to Arlington, Virginia, joining an out-of-network sports rehabilitation clinic with a strong focus on runners and triathletes. As a runner herself, Meg deeply understands the complexities of treating athletes and takes pride in guiding them back to the road, trail, or finish line—stronger and injury-free.

Her greatest joy lies in showing people that with the right movement strategies, they don’t have to give up the activities that bring them happiness. Whether teaching proper movement patterns, guiding injury prevention, or offering one-on-one, compassionate care, Meg is committed to empowering her patients with the tools they need to stay healthy for the long run.

Her true passion, however, is working with runners. She knows the importance of having a PT who understands the biomechanics, training demands, and mindset of the sport. From breaking down running form, rebuilding strength, and optimizing footwear, to leveraging her vast network of runner-focused providers in the DMV area, Meg ensures her patients have every resource they need to get back on the road quickly and safely.

With a 100% mobile practice, Meg brings care directly to you—whether at home, in the office, at the gym, or even on the running trail. This unique model allows her to treat patients in the environments where they move best, helping them recover faster and return to the activities they love most.

Meg lives by the belief that movement is empowering and purposeful—and that no one should be told they “can’t.” She strives to combine expertise, advocacy, and compassion to help her patients push boundaries, exceed expectations, and rediscover their best selves.

Fun facts: Meg loves running, spinning, being outdoors, baking and cooking. She can chat your ear off about college football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, and is always up for watching sports. Meg has a deep love of music and once upon a time was trained to sing opera. She and her husband Andy are parents to a sassy little redhead named Emma who they are already grooming to be the biggest little Buckeye football fan!

"You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give." – E.O. Wilson
